Besides corn I was wondering if anyone has had any late season success with a food attractant? I don't have any place to put a food plot as I only have big woods to hunt and I wanted to try something other then corn, maybe a bail of something that I could just throw out and it will last a couple weeks!?

I know my brother had some success with alphalfa and sweet feed but pretty much the same as corn.

I want to try a bail of alfalfa but wasn't sure if any of the farms around here sell it. I've seen it at Tractor Supply and Southern States in the past but wanted to buy local grown just to help out. Anyone know where to find it locally? BTW I guess most people have stopped baiting with corn since only bow is left, I had 17 does come in last night to my corn in the woods, most I've ever seen at one time during a bow hunt. Even with all those eyes looking everywhere I was still able to draw and drop one. Stressful hunt trying to get away with movement with all those eyes lookin around!

It has been so long sine I have seen a deer I am not sure what they look like.. I think right now with the weird weather if you put anythign out they will eat it.. Natural browse is pretty low in areas where they are no crops to raid so if you find alphalpha and put it out I have little doubt they would not eat it up just as quick as a cord pile if there is nothing else in the area to feast on.. Good job on the doe and keep hammering them..
