Read in the paper last week that they'll be stocking some of the local ponds the first week of Oct. with the fall trout batch.
Of course with it being so hot lately they'll probably all go to the bottom and hang out till Nov./Dec.
See ya out there if you're out of the stand.

Went to Gilbert run this morning and did not get a single bite..... wonder when they will stock?

They stocked them last week. I'll be out there Friday...but they definitely won't be as big as Fox's wyoming trout.

I had a buddy catch one this spring at an undisclosed location in southern Maryland that weighed 6 pounds, so you never know.

True... you never know. I've caught a couple nice stocked ones that managed to survive a season or two at the bottom and fattened up nicely.
In the end though, no matter the weight, it all comes down to the spices and whether baked or fried. ;-)
