I went out last Sunday to set another lock on in spot that I haven't hunted much this year but an area that I nickname the Buck stand. I have seen numerous nice bucks out of it and shot a nice tall 9 point a few years ago. the following year my buddy shot a 140 to 150 class 8 point out there. Anyhow I put together a 16 foot section of climbing sticks and when I got to the top of that to secure it I heard something about 40 yards from me. When I looked a buck got up from bedding in a holy thickit and just walked away toward my other lock on. This is the story of my hunting season to this date. I baited it up that day as well as other stand sights on the property since we haven't baited much this year. Tomorrow morning I will be sitting in his bedroom and I am sure he won't be there. I've seen some nice bucks this year but just haven't been able to get on them. Not complaining because at least I got to see them anyway.
