i took a 13 year old young man out for his first deer hunt this weekend.we saw alot of deer the first day with no shots. the second day we had a little buck come in at 80 yards, he took the shot and hit the mark. i don't know who was more excited, me or him. it was like i just took my first deer all over again. if you ever get the chance to take a young person hunting, do it

I've got 12 years to wait to get my boy out there! I am going to be the type of father that wants to take him out when he is 3 years old!!! I can't wait to share those moments!

i took my 4 yr old to a turkey shoot this year and he wanted to shoot so i let him, he loved it (shooting a 12 gauge benelli) so i think next year i will really work hard on getting him squared away.

Good deal on that 44 magnum thats what we all need to do . I have a 14 yr old that started @ 8 yrs old and he is dedicated to hunting , hasn't got his first wallhanger yet but has taken 4 does ,have a 4yr old that loves to scout and sit out in the tree fort , he does great sittin still and keepin quiet. Can't wait till he can hunt with us. Some of my best memories of my oldest son are the time we spend together in the woods or at the ponds. And like you the feeling on his first doe that he took was incredible for me I have never been so proud in my life .

I think the smile on his face says it all. Probably took a few days for him to stop smiling. Congrats!!
