I went last Thurs and Fri and didn't hear a gobble. Going this Fri. Then off to NY for 4 days. So GD hot out there but I'm still seeing strutters on my ride into OC every night!

Been working 65 hour weeks, but have managed to slip out for a hour on a couple mornings. Never heard anything Friday, but heard one at work this morning at 0745. Usually hear them right around 0600 at work , then when they fly down, then they clam right up.
Wife said one was going crazy back by her deer stand this morning, from 0800 to 0830!
HOPE to get a kid out Saturday!

Went out the last two saturdays and no luck. Saw tracks and heard 'em, but nothing. Going out this morning when I get off nightshift to a spot I saw 4 on Monday..so hopefully they're still there. Saturday will be my last day out this season... hopefully not though! ;-)

Been hearing them everywhere I go. I got a hot spot that always has 1-8 birds! They start gobbling and the hens start clucking. I will call, the hens call back, then the toms gobble. It is awesome to hear but have not been able to bring a single bird into sight! I am going out tomorrow before work to my hot spot! Good luck every one!

Heard 'em again today, but they flew down the other direction and went away from me. Tomorrow I'm going to try to get on the far side of him, although I have some intel on another spot that I really should hit...

I got off work yesterday and went to spot I scoped out on Monday. Didn't get there till 9:30 though and heard nothing while I was there. I left around 11:45 and my cousin calls me last night to say that 30 min after I left they were walking through the field 40 yards from where I was sitting. They must know when it's 12 o'clock high!

If you can't call them in cause of hens then get close and shoot them as soon as they fly out of the roost! This tom pitched down 30 yards from me at 6:30am. I even made it to work on time. Side note: I am not gay! I dyed my hair for the kids at my school because they raised a large amount of money for hoops for heart. I also forgot a hat this morning!

The pissed look on my face was due to my friend saying I looked gay.... as he took the picture.

Sure Brett, sure...
I was dam close today. Got around toward where the birds had been landing off the roost, but never heard a gobble. One came from the other way at 6:30 though, was sneaking up to me, a nice long beard. He was at 30, all I had to do was move the barrel one inch and get my cheek on the stock, but a dang sunbeam was hitting me and lighting me up, he saw the flash off my glasses as I moved my head down and was outta there! I hate turkeys...

Congrats Brett! On the bird, NOT the hair!
Did they make you wax your legs too???
