I had my Liberty in for service last week, getting it ready for the North Dakota trip (badlands can be hard on it, especially when you do dumb stuff like herd wild horses with it), and test drove one of the brand new JK Wranglers. Anybody check them out yet? I'm not sure about the 4door models, too long and Hummerish for my tastes, but I like the 2door and there are some significant improvements over the TJ models (I had a 97TJ before the Liberty, every new vehicle I've owned has been a Jeep, as well as most of the used ones). Next summer I'm due for a trade-in, could mean trouble. Can we say Rubicon? ?? ;D

I had a jeep grand cherokee for 5 years and finally blew the motor at 243,000 miles. I miss it a lot. Only got it stuck twice out of countless trips through the nastiest terrain around. I have a work van now that I have got stuck in my own driveway about five times in the last 8 months. (I live in the boonies) Sure do miss that 4x4 action. The new jeeps are nice but for that kind of money, I'd be afraid to use em the way I want.

That's why I've got an 82 CJ8 to use around here for the rough stuff and the beach.

I have the Unlimited Wrangler, A little more room with a slightly longer wheel base... I love it. I just need to raise it a bit.

I like those TJ unlimiteds, the wheel base is so close my old Scrambler. Even seen a half cab made to fit on them, I may get one someday and do that. Got a buddy with a black '05 rubicon unlimited he's going to sell this summer, I'm going to try and get that. He's only got 3,000 miles on it!!!!
