New to the site and thought I would share a pic of my buck I shot during the Southern Ontario controlled hunt. Passed up many fawn's , doe's and afew small buck's during the week in hope's of harvesting a mature buck and thought I blew my chance in the morning of the last day by missing a nice 135 class 8 point but everything fell into place that evening when I rattled in this brute and my PB. Green score 179 5/8 gross and 173 net. Sorry for the crappy pic I will be taking better one's when I get the mount back.

Thanks for the pic & welcome to the site. Congratulations on the deer. Way bigger than anything I've gotten this season. Total for me is 3 doe - just haven't seen a shooter buck yet this season, but I'm going to keep trying.

Really nice deer snortwheez. And sometimes those "missed shots" are for a reason, and your story is a prime example.

Congratulations on the buck! I would love to go Buckwild in Canada and harvest one of those 300lbs monsters.

Yet to see 1 300 lbs around here but over the past 5 year's we've been seeing alot 200 plus inch deer taken within an hr's drive of where I live . My dad score's for FROW here in Ontario and so far he has had the tape on 1 that went 206 gross and I know of quite afew taken this year from the area that have been between 150 and the mid 190's. Seem's like more and more people every year are becoming more selective on what there shooting and because of that Ontario is producing alot of world class deer especially in my area and NW Ontario. The last 3 year's they've also been handing out additional antlerless game seal's for many division's EXCEPT MINE. Some area's are getting as many as 7 anlerless game seal's per hunter for archery.

Does that mean you are not allowed to harvest doe in Ontario? In the area that I hunt, you are allowed up to 10 per hunter with each weapon - 36 in total. If I drive 15 minutes from where I live, there is no limit!!

Antlerless are doe's and fawn's or a buck with 3 inch's or less of antler
