Well this was the most perfect imperfect hunt that could have happened. We started out leaving the house on time and my oil level light had came on so i decided to stop off at a near gas station to throw in a quart before heading down the road. As I was putting oil in my car the engine catches fire. yes orange flames all over my engine block. thankfully there was a fire extinguisher around or there would have been alot more than just my car catch fire. Well after this incident we calmed down and started back on our way. As we were talking i wasnt paying attention to the road and I missed the speed limit sign. Next thing I know I was recieving a ticket. I turned to my buddy and said do you still want to go? By this point we were only half way there. We still went and made it with plenty of time. We were getting out of the car at 0615. After we set up everything i started to call and BAM 2 gobblers sounded off. waited bout 10 min then gave a fly down cackle and boy when he heard that he must have jumped off and bolted right to us. by 0710 my buddy put a 35 yard shot on him as i ran the camera. the bird was 19 lbs. 1" spurs and a 9" beard. this was his first turkey and a very memorable hunt.
