Ohh, it felt good to get back out in the marsh this evening! Cool, breezy, not many skeeters. They aren't cranking it up yet, but they're bugling at sunset. Heard at least seven different stags when the winds layed out a bit after dusk. ;D

I'm going back out this evening. Moving closer to one of the bugling boys, see if I can get close enough to his bedding area to see him...

I went out on the 29th wind was rediculous where i was coming from every direction saw 3 does but about 200yds away and they were really jumpy every time the wind would change they didnt like it

Got a wet butt tonight when the rain came through, but got a nice sika hind as a consolation prize. She didn't go over 30 yards, easy to find. Passed 4 different spikes tonight, too, but no big boys and only one very distant bugle.

You should have used her bladder for a rain hat.They're waterproof, you know! just stretch it TIGHT!
