I have a very important message for all forum members. There will be a few changes on the forum. I'm sure many of you have noticed that in the last year, the activity on the site has decreased. I take a lot of the blame for things not being updated. I'm embarrassed to say I have not been able to spend more time here posting and interacting, I know Buckmaster feels the same way. Between the magazine and the expo and our full time jobs and families, we don't have much time left. I feel like the website has suffered because of that. We love the people here on the site and have made some really good friends here.
For the benefit of the site, Buckmaster and I have decided to hand the entire website over to Frank Gore (THE DEER HUNTER). He has said that he wants to continue to run the site and is excited about keeping things going. I'm sure he has some plans to bring back some of the great things such as Buck of the month and maybe even different events. He will be the sole website owner and moderator. If anyone on the site has website experience, Im sure The DEER HUNTER would like to use your help to make some changes and upgrades. Me and Buckmaster will continue to be members on the site and try to contribute whenever we can. We feel this change of ownership will help the site to progress instead digress, which has been happening the last year or so.
There will only be one change to the site and that will be the name Buckwild Adventures. There has been a lot of confusion with the magazine and the website. The names are very similar, Buckwild. Some of our advertisers have visited the Buckwild Adventures and wondered why there isn't more content about the magazine. We then explain how the magazine and Buckwild website are not related. It is kind of confusing. I even have people send me a message on the forum about the magazine that I don't get to for a couple of days or even longer. We figured with the new ownership should come a new domain name and a clean slate.
The new website will be www.mdhuntingforum.com This website will take you to the SAME MESSAGE BOARD as you are on right now. If you type in www.buckwildadventures.com it will take you to the same message board for a few weeks. Then you will have to type in www.mdhuntingforum.com or you can simply type in www.buckwildproboards101.com as that will continue to always take you directly to the message board. So really only the domain name will change. I think that MDHuntingForum.com may even bring more traffic to the site from people surfing for a good MD hunting website. I will also email this message to every single member, so even if they havnt been to the site in a while, they will know how to get back in the future.
Thank you to everyone who is a member on the site. I look forward to seeing you all at the 3rd Annual MD Hunting and Outdoor Expo a the Charles county fairgrounds on August 15 and 16. And thank you to everyone who has supported the magazine.
