Getting my application going this week for my planned trip to Wyoming to hunt Mulies and Antelopes with my Dad this year. A trip I have dreamed about a long time and I cannot wait till October.. Should be awesome regardless if I kill something. Not many chances to hunt with my dad anymore so these trips I will cherish.. I sure hope these next few months fly by....

Those are the best trips Fox, savor it. My Dad came out the last year I was in North Dakota, I helped put him on a good mulie and it's something we still talk about all the time, one of my best hunting memories so far.

I am really looking forward to this. I hope it all goes as planned. Plus if I get to put a 7mag bullet through a mule deer that will just be icing on my big ass cake... I hope it is another year of the taxidermist.. Nalley you better get your antelope and Mule deer taxidermy going, cause I am bringing you some business in about 7 1/2 months , for that matter the Deer hunter should have his new business up and running.

Good luck -
If it's anything like your first few times sika and turkey hunting you might as well get ready to drag out your pops antelope.
Don't think I'm quite ready - still got a lot of practicing to do.

No one, going on Private lands with my dad and his buddy that owns the place.. so I guess he would be our guide, but his family has owned the property for years and years and he knows where all the hots spots for mulies are. no one has hunted this property for a few years now... should be a real kick in the ARSE

Good luck Fox! We're putting in for points again this year, and will take my daughter out where we went DIY antelope hunting in WY in '07! Ate a bunch of elk steaks today at lunch, and REALLY hope to get after them soon too!
Me and my brothers and our Dad make it a point to do SOMETHING together every year. Heck, we all went for a quick, 72 mile jaunt in the Atlantic a few weeks ago. BONe chilling temps, high winds ,and cheap cigars, all in pursuit of the elusive tautog!
I finally mounted up my 'lope a couple weeks ago: really made me want to get back after them. Skinned out my last turkey last night: getting caught up!

I have other rifles for this, no worries. I do not miss the 270 at all.. For this hunt I am going after Mulies first and Lopes second. I think I am going to use my Dad's 7 mag. he has killed a bunch of mule deer with it and I think it would be cool for me to shoot one with it with him there.. But I may change my mind and take one of my rifles instead of using his.. Have to wait and figure out the logistics on all this a little closer to the date

NO worries Osprey, I have a big SIka under my belt.. now it is time for a giant Mulie and Antelope...
The area we are going to hunt is pretty secluded so I was told that a draw for that area should be pretty easy.. but who knows..

it is a very large piece of land and only a couple guys in their family hunt it.. so the place we are going has very limited pressure if any.... I am hoping it is as good as I am hearing from my dad and his friend.. but who knows.. should know more info in the coming months
