i really didnt care to much for either candidates this year. I'm a republican and always will be but i think mccain is to much like bush. obama isn't as bad as people say and whether we like it or not, he is our president. let's all just hope and pray he is the "change" we need.

First, he is NOT our President, he is our President-elect.
He has been immersed his entire life in a dangerous combination of Marxism/socialism, and radical black theology. An empty suit, with a background that should NEVER allow him to have achieved the position of US President. I've never been a fan of McCain, since his Keating Five days, sotness on illegal immigration, and free speech, but he is LIGHT YEARS beyond that fool.
How can a man who cannot pass an FBI background check for a security clearance, be privy to matters of utmost national security? (due to ADMITTED drug use and distribution)
Spoon fed communist doctrine from at early age by "Frank" in Hawaii, studied the "community organizer" blueprint of Saul "Reds" Alinsky, shared an OFFICE with admitted and unrepentant domestic terrorist William Ayers, close ties with ACORN, and other radical organizations,"Visited" Pakistan in the summer of '81 (Some college vacation, huh?) when they DID NOT allow US passports in (did he use his Indonesian one, from when he was legally known as Barry Soeroto???) Oops, another Daddy left him! Abandonement issues?
20 years in the church of black extremist Rev Wright, regulary conferred with him, married him and his wife, baptised hi, and YET he knew nothing of his hatred and bile for the US and it's white folks? Sure!
Check his votes on gun laws in both the US Senate and his time in Illinois, and you'll get a peek at what's in store for us. And remember Biden, BRAGGED on authoring the "assault" weapons bill!
Now with the liberals in control of the House, Senate, and Pres, what do you think is going to happen?
Not to mention he'll get at least 2, if not 3 Supreme Court Justice picks.Remember, we won the Heller gun case by a 5:4 vote, and TWO of those votes were Bush appointees.
The positions will shape our future for 30+ years, and Obama has made it VERY clear what he is looking for: activist judges, who will "interpret" the Constitution. HIS WAY! This is way more influential in regards to our country than who sits in the big chair!
How can 95 % of the US get his "tax cuts" when only 40% pay Federal taxes???
More of OUR money going to welfare trash! Redistribution!
And since he has vowed to "end" the "Bush" tax cuts, that will cost EVERY family earning more than $42,000: A family with a combined income of $75,000 will see the Bush cut cut cost them $3,040 more per year. Yet The Obamanation says that ending a tax cut is NOT a tax increase, so it doesn't count! Clintonesque parsing of words at its finest! I guess it again depends on what your definition of "is" is!
Plus his extra trillion in proposed NEW spending, (c'mon, SURELY you've seen his call for his Civilian Defense BS, with a budget "equal" to our military!)
Already AGAINST drilling here in the US, and against "dirty" energy, including natural gas! So what are we going to use??? More high cost, impractical subsidized crap, that flat out won't get it done!!
So what do I see? More governmental interference and regulationin EVERY part of our lives, "their" values and agenda rammed down our throats in the name of "fairness and equality", small busineses, the backbone of innovation, being regulated, taxed, and choked to death.
Expect to see full voting rights restored to felons, amnesty for illegal aliens (+ voting rights, of course: detecting a trend?) Escalating gun/ammunition regulation/taxes until we are DONE. Us losing our position as the preeminent military in the world (China's turn, I guess) Higher energy costs, falling GNP, and more importantly, the slow death of the American Dream, and the entreprenureal spirit that MADE this country. Why work, when Uncle Sugar will take care of ya?
I see us becoming increasingly Balkanized, as third worlders continue to pour in and chose NOT to become "American" as our forebearers did. And they'll pull us down to their level, a third world shithole. And others here just never have seen themselves as American, and never will. Liberals and conservatives are getting farther apart, and the rhetoric is getting more and more heated. Only a matter of time before it gets increasingly violent.
IN a sentence, I think Obama will be the beginning of the end. We've been heading downhill for a while, but the slope just got a WHOLE lot steeper. Soon we'll be going to fast to stop.
The average democracy has lasted what, 200 years? I guess our time at the top is done. Hell of a ride, huh?
Thomas Jefferson once said something to the effect that as soon as people realized that they could vote themselves a living from the public coffers, we were done.
Benjaman Franklin said that the Founders gave us a representative republic, IF we could keep it. Sorry Mr. Franklin, we tried.
America 1776-2008
PS, SEE? NO PROFANITY! RIP
And too much like Bush? Please elaborate.
The folks I hear whining the loudest, are the ones who "bought up" on their houses, new cars, big screens, cople vacations a year, etc. Then when the bills come, WAHHHHH! "IT'S NOT OUR FAULT!!!" "IT'S NOT FAIR!!!"
I don't have a cell phone/text thingie, 4 wheeler, big screen (19" here), no cable, etc Live within our means and SACRIFICE for what we want. PAY our own way. Don't want a handout, and don't want to be extorted to give one to someone else.
If it's the economy, maybe you should look into under WHO and WHEN the lending foolishness started, ie goverment mandated loans to folks (mostly minorities who COULD NOT afford them, under THREAT by AG Reno. (or Google Oxley-Sarbanes) And who REPEATEDLY warned of looming trouble with Freddie and Fannie, yet the Dems waved the cries away, charging RACISM?
I will give the Dems one thing though: Them and the media got the spin going. And way too many folks fell for it.
I guess I was wrong: maybe most Americans DO want socialism, or at least the Gov to relive them of all personal responsibility.

Well I voted for Mccain.Republicans have always been pro-gun and their ideals fall more in line with mine.Mccain was doomed from the start just being a repub and the last 8 years how the masses veiw Bush's terms.I was amazed how a year ago all the talk centered around "Bush Wars" and how it would effect this election.Almost no talk leading up to it so things must be getting better over there. My opinion Clinton was the cause of 9-11 with his inability to take action years before Bush did.The USS Cole bombing was a act of war that he did pretty much nothing about.During his time we should have taken out Bin Laden and his group.CIA could have did this pretty easy then. Now he's gropher in the desert some where planning his next attack. The Iraq war should have been taken care of the first time.Congress didn't listen to our generals because what do they know.Old norman said give him 2 more days he will take Baghdag and tear down Saddam hold, but he was told to stop and come back home. What I see in Obama is Bill Clinton ideals. So that is what I'm expecting. He could do good here at home.I hope his foriegn policlies are better.Keep our military strong and home land security in place.Nothing new since 9-11.Lets keep it that way.We are in a new age of warfare!!!

Well i do have to say to that Mccain has made more than his share of sacrifices for this country... and the one who got the votes is the one who would not even hold his hand ove his heart for a pledge or anthem or wear a flag lapel until his publisist decided it was a good idea for him to start someone who is or not publically as of now but definately was affiliated with the groups churches and people that he was affiliated with... come on get real why did hang saddam husissen maybe we could have made him president at leaast he had experince in government!!!!!

Thanks busco. I've been in exile the last few days.No radio, no TV, no NOTHING! Sent in an absentee ballot (first time I didn't vote in person EVER), then headed for the mountains. (pretty cool trip and some pics coming: I learned you REALLY shouldn't leave a cooler under your truck when your sleping in the truck bed in bear country! Couple pretty exciting seconds)
Didn't know who won until today, when i called wife to tell her I was coming home. At the Keyser's Ridge McDonalds,I saw an old Mennonite-looking lady crying and her WWII vet husband (had it on his hat). I went over to thank him for his service (hit home for me-my Dad was a WWII waist gunner, VP-117th, in the Pacific). He thanked me for thanking him and for remembering, and I told him some of us STILL care.
I really think we've become two countries.

I am dissappointed at the lack of patriotism that most people in the united states feel these days (not speaking of anyone on here) I LIKE BUSH there i said it chastise me you know why i like him ? I voted for him, I fully support the war and liberating iraq and having them as an ally for oil trading etc. for people to badmouth him all the time is just stupid. What did clinton accomplish in 8 years ? He got a BJ and thats about it. people B#$% and moan about bush starting the war but he didnt start it, the war started when some freaking muslim terrorists flew planes full of civilians into buildings full of civilians. I am friends with a number of military people and they arent crying and whining or going on strike they are doing what they signed those papers to do. Obama is a change for the worst Racism will become more prevelant in our society as the african americans will think they have someone on their side. Farrakhan and jesse jackson and all the other "kil whitey" hate mongers will find a place in Obamas ear. For gods sake they had thae crack smokin marion berry on channel 5 news this morning !! WHY ?? oh well enough of my rant if you see me out ill be wearing my FBO shirt

Once they disarm us they can controll us better. Be advised Obama actually courted the HSUS (Basically PETA since the "merger") for their support. Just thought I'd cheer you up some. ;D Oh Brett, SHIT SHIT,SHIT,SHIT,SHIT,SHIT! Or as the girl in the classic theatrical production of " Deuce Bigalo, Male Gigalo" so aptly stated: BALLZ! ;D

being only 19, this is my first year voting and did pull for mccain. It's just that some of the things said about obama are completely false like being a muslim? thats complete BS . some people need to be more informed about what is said. and no matter what people say, we have to except the fact he is our president. I did not pull for him, but it is what it is and nobody can change that
