Did I read Mark Hoke's article right about duck hunting at Blackwater. Either I read it wrong, or he is getting something mixed up.

In Mark's article about duck hunting he is talking about favorite early season spots to scout/hunt and he talks about Mckee Beshers and Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. As far as I know hunting waterfowl has never been allowed at BWNR (though it might be in the future). He stated to check with the MD DNR for dates and regulations (pg 34). Forgive me if I read this wrong or I'm getting it mixed up with something.

I can check with him. But I know there are MANY pockets inside of the refuge that are privately owned and can be hunted. But I guess that would not be considered "BWNR"
