I'm going to guess a claw, but can't figure out what from. I'm probably wrong because that would seem too easy!

We have a winner, canine teeth from a fox skull I found in the woods while turkey hunting. DaveP gets nothing, he was too vague... Now, what can I use them for? I'm thinking of buttons for a shooting bag flap, or maybe decorations on a powder horn strap, or maybe inlayed as teeth on a snake head war club a fella gave me to work on.

OBVIOUSLY canine teeth from SOMETHING, and using the deer hide/size of each hair for reference, it was pretty easy to roughly determine size; ie- that it was a smaller critter. I spend WAY too much time figuring out what goes where with critter teeth. Been using maceration to clean my skulls lately (In English: letting them rot down in a bucket of water. Smells like pure hell, but works great!) Have to SLOWLY pour out all the rotted meat, and scum, so as to not lose all the teeth that are sometimes loose in the bottom. Then I trial fit them all back in the right sockets before pulling out the Elmer's. Best to keep one skull per bucket, or at least put in very different species. You'd be surpised just how many buckets of heads I have setting out back. Don't be next! ;D

Curly maple blank roughed out, right now it's just a straight handle with the outline of a snake head with a ball in it's mouth, sorta an Iriqouis type thing. Had it for close to a year and never gotten around to making it yet.
