Here is a coyote I caught in Garrett Co. a few years back.....as a student in the Maryland Fur Trappers Advanced Education course. Seems like a long time ago.... Female, 2 yr. old, she weighed about 25 lbs. which is typical of our coyotes here. The largest I have heard about is 45 lbs. and was caught in Washington Co. this year. Enjoy.

Nice! Coyote's on my "to do" list for this coming fall.
Glad to see you on the site Morgan.
I HIGHLY recommend the MD Fur Trappers Advanced Ed course for anyone interested in trapping. No matter how much you know, you'll always pick up a few ideas or tips from each and every one of the instructers and from fellow trappers. They'll pack your head full of information. I think the cost has gone up a few bucks in the last year, but it's worth every penny and then some Heck, the food alone was worth the cost!
I was mostly self taught, and had to learn too much the hard way. But with the exchange of information on the internet and the first class instruction like is available, it'll really smooth out the learning curve.
Morgan was an instructor when I took the course, and took the time to show me the basics of snaring, and PROVED the awesomeness of Belisle body grips by cunningly setting for a tail catch on a beaver ;D and HOLDING it! (now I got to go look for the pic!)
( I know Belisle works, but I'm cheap and still run mostly Dukes-I KNOW I'm losing a few critters, but they don't hurt near as much when I catch myself) ;D

Awesome yote. I too would love to target one. The class sounds awesome. I'm trying to work it in to my schedule.
