A few buddies and myself went up to a local pond to do some cattin' friday night seeing how the weather was so nice... we got our lines set out and 30 mins into the night we had our first flathead of the season on the bank, 24lb which came on a pumpkin seed bluegill, we got pictures, weighed it and then sent it on its way.... if that wasnt enough to start the season off with a bang I no longer got my pole baited back up and cast back out that I got my 2nd and last bite of the night.... set the hook and after a 5 min fight had the 2nd flattie of the year on the bank, just over the 21lb mark.... we had a dry spell for about 2 hours and then my buddy had a good run that he couldnt capitalize on, but as far as the first night fishing trip of the year...wow, couldnt have asked for anything any better....

Those look like fun. I have to target me a big catfish sometime.
