Shame I just got this new laptop, the old computer had the last 6-7 years of MD Deer Hunting Guide articles still on it, but that was fried and is now gone. One big difference between sika and whitetails, in some spots, is just what you see. I hunt some marshy areas for whitetails, but none like where I was the other morning. Could look for miles out over the open salt marsh in a few directions. And I had 3 bald eagles pitch in a pine top 40 yards aways, screeching and squawking at each other at full volume for 45 minutes. Pretty cool, although I think sika learn as young to be afraid of eagles, I bet they'd carry off a young one just like a rabbitt! And it sorta sucked for me, too, ospreys and eagles are known enemies - when I see too many eagles it never brings me luck.
