That sounds neat for history buffs or for hunters who just like hunting with an flintlock.

I've pretty well decided I'm going to build one instead buy one already done, gotta hit that or the guy's shop. Already ordered catalogs and a few building books to read up on it. Can't hold out until EPR in September, I'll go freakin' nuts.

Just a bump, it's this weekend for anybody interested. I'm going up Saturday, hitting Cabela's while in the area. I've got a pocket full of money to buy gun parts too, so I can start the great Sika Longrifle build!!!!

Pretty cool event! Lots of BEAUTIFUL longrifles, both newer builds and old guns, but most finished guns were very expensive ($1,100 - $5,000). Some neat displays of metal forging, stock carving, etc. Dixon's is also a neat blackpowder shop, it'd be worth just going to the store if you're in the area. Very crowded at the show though, sometimes hard to see everything there were so many people. Cabela's was a good stop after the show, too. And yes, I bought stuff...
