On Sunday, March 18th, the Maryland State Chapter of the Quality Deer Management Association will host a Habitat and Food Plot Day at the Gander Mountain store in Salisbury. Tecomate Wildlife Systems & Outdoor Essentials, LLC will present a FREE food plot seminar called "Ultimate Food Plots for Whitetailed Deer". The QDMA will be there from 1-6 pm. Exact time for the seminar will be posted later.
Don't miss this if you're interested in planting food plots! There will be a wealth of information presented by someone who has extensive knowledge and experience with planting food plots on the shore. Also, you will get to see the new models of Plotmaster machines that will be available this May.

When you get the time for the seminar shoot me a message or post up, I'll run it in the Outdoor calendar section in the Daily Times.

Thanks Dave!
This will be a good time to buy a membership with the QDMA. Cost is normally $30/yr. At the event, it will cost $25 and you get a chance to win a Cuddeback digital camera.

I sent my nephew an e-mail on this and he's going to attend this seminar. He lives in Salisbury and is always in Gander Mountain anyway. He hunts with me in Nanjemoy (Charles County) and we are doing food plots this year for the first time. I'm sure it will be helpful to have a little more info on planting small plots. Thanks for the heads- up on this.

Great! I hope to see him there. If any of you are in the area, stop by and least see what we're all about. The QDMA is a great deer organization. For anybody on the west shore, there will be another one at Bass Pro Shops on April 14th. All the details aren't in yet though. For the latest news and events, check out www.marylandqdma.com.

I might make the one at Bass Pro, it's only about 40 min. ride from Frederick area. Of course this would be after scouting for turkeys.

Wish we had some more people attend. Several folks said they were going to attend and didn't. I guess it was the nice weather. Mali's food plot seminar was really informative. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to his next seminar. It will be an all-day hands-on food plot seminar in Kent county. A Tecomate seed food plot will be planted from start to finish. More info will be posted when planning is done.
Osprey, Were you at the seminar? I may have talked to you but didn't realize your screen name. Thanks for getting the word out in the Daily Times. A few of the guys attended because of that.

No, I didn't make it over. Played in a cancer benefit tennis tourney Saturday, for a bit over six hours, and didn't feel like doing a whole lot on Sunday.
Glad I could help, almost forgot but I got it in the week prior.
