The 51st annual hunting/fishing show is at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pa from Feb 3-11.If you have never been you won`t believe how large this place is.Gander Mtn,Bass Pro are minutes away.Cabela`s is about an hour...it`s worth the drive. We usually make it a 2-day trip. It`s crowded but you can go early ,stay late, or Sunday hasn`t been bad either lately. All the info you need is at www.easternsportshow.com . If you go let me know what you thought about it.

I would highly recommend this show. It's probably one of the biggest in the states. It has absolutely EVERYTHING.

I like to look at money spent on hunting as an investment. How many games that you or your children recieved as gifts are around as long as most quality hunting equip ? My Christmas present of 1973 a Rem 20 gauge 870 lw works as well now as it did 33 years ago. (Damn I`m older than I thought). I can go to an outdoor supplier and spend money a whole lot easier than I can at Toys r us just knowing that it will probably be used forever or passed onto someone else when it is outgrown or updated .

If you see anything really cool up there take a few pics and give us a field report. I guess all the NEW products will be there. This year is shot for me to go but I'll write it in my calander for next year.

wasnt overall really impressed... I went mostly to see what it was all about hoping to maybe find a deal on something. If you were going to try to book a hunting trip it would definately be the place to go as long as you could keep your head from overloading. not an overabundance of products though.... but still enjoyed myself

Probably the coolest new thing that I saw there was a small, lightweight platform that attached to your shotgun or bow. The platform holds a small digital video camera. You have to supply the camera. It would be perfect for filming your own turkey hunt. Your gun becomes your tripod and you at least get a chance to capture the shot. They were selling it for around $30. I picked up a pamphlet but never got back to them to buy one.

Anybody else meet or see Chuck Adams? He gave an hour-long lecture each day at 3:00. For the first part of his presentation, he gave personal bow tuning and shooting lessons to a contest winner. Afterwards he answered questions from the audience. I was like a teenager at a Brittany Spears concert!!!!! Chuck Adams is my hero!

Chuck has been a great part of the bowhunting movement over the past decade or so. It would be cool to get a picture with him or some advice. I think hes bowhunted everything in the world by now. But not as cute as Brittany! LOL

We got to meet Chuck and his wife ,I was very impressed. He is a normal guy who has shot most everything thing that walks with a bow, around 122 and counting qualify for Pope & Young. We got his books which he autographed and got to shake hands with him. I have read his stuff for years but never had the chance to speak with him. Meeting him and enjoying all of the huge whitetail mounts were the high point for me .Hopefully I`ll be able to post a picture of a Missouri Monster or two this fall .
