Hokie, how do you like your job in the private sector?

It's not bad. There are ups and downs to it like any other job. It's nice that my schedule is flexible and I work with some great people. Downside is that you don't get all the holidays, personal leave, and rediculous amounts of sick leave like the public sector. I know, b/c my wife works for the state. I guess that the other argument is that the private sector pays better, but it definitely is not get-rich-quick.

I'm a contractor supporting a security contract for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in Arlington, VA. Retired from the USAF in 1998 (My son is a Marine, its all good Jarhead , took a year off to finish school then got involved working as a contractor for the government. I'm still looking for that dream job, anything that involves hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. ;D
