got some old mallard decoys and painted them like buffs. I thin they look alright. Gonna make 8 or 9 more. Think it will work?

lots of people do that when the weighted mallards are on sale.. i know a few people that do then with river ducks and sea ducks.. seems like a much more inexpensive way to make good decoys.. looks good hope they work out for you

Should work fine. Only need a few. Set them off to the side by themselves and the buffies will come.

i will tell you what, the more i look at that pic you could make yourself a few bucks by buying the cheap mallards and painting them up for sale.. you do good work....

They look great, I just finished a gang line of mallard surf scoters over the weekend myself. It's much more cost effective to recycle old decoys, especially for less shy birds!

the decoys look great .ive used a black jug as decoys before so i know they will work good luck
