I long to kill a wood duck at my parents place in VA. We've seen em about the past year or so.
I'll display my ignorance....what do you mean by split?

Split is a term used for when the season goes in and out, ie.. 1st split, 2nd split, 3rd split for MD.

Haven't even gotten out yet this split, been deer hunting and fighting a cold. Did brush one of the blinds and planning on a hunt Thursday morning...

I see that there are no bite marks in them, so I assume ole coot was huntin by himself.

Went out Saturday morning, my Uncle, the kid I take and I took 7 buffleheads and a goose. Even saw a few bluebills flying, looks like it could be good all this week.

yeah cootshooter, you left that drake mallard in my garage this past saturday. I found it on Sunday afternoon, but no fear, the duck went to Jim for dog training purposes.
