So, I've been debating whether to spend a little cash and a lot of time on making some silohette (spelling?) V-boards for honkers or just spending quite a few more dollars on some GHG's or G&H. In the Goose Calling Seminar at the Outdoor Expo, the younger gentlemen seemed to think the silohette's (again spelling?) work better than a full body. Obviously everyone would want to go the cheaper route, but has anyone had better luck with one or the other?
Right now I use a combination of both, and haven't had any problems getting those tanks to come in, but I was thinking I could have so many more V-boards without spending as much on full bodies.

never hunted over anything but shells and full bodies, but seen it done on TV and it seems to work... my buddies dad has a bunch of the plywood cut out that he uses and say they work

I have used a combo of both & have a dozen or so of the real image silhouettes. The v boards are a little easier to set up/ tear down; although heavy and space consuming. If you have a favorite spot that you can leave them, I think they are the ticket. Always have seemed to have luck with a mix.

Charlie, V-Boards seem to work pretty well if you have the time to put into it. I make a bunch of them for Robert that worked out well. Im just not much into the painting part. They definitly will save alot of money!

When hunting a feild, silhouettes mixed in look great...However, v-boards in the water just dont compare to some nice floaters. I have only hunted over v-boards a handfull of times..Honestly ive killed um over both..Charlie, trying to get down on some early woodies..hit me up!
