Good luck! Today I saw about 200 bufflehead, 500 canvas backs, and 1000 canadian geese. All while driving over or near the potomac river.

I did a snow hunt on the last Sat of January and we only killed 1 so the guide offered for us to come back again for half price. Well he called on Sunday and wanted us to come back down on Monday cuz he had a group that killed 42 on Sat and had fields with 5000+ geese in them. Well thanks to my appendix surgury last Thurs I'm not sure if I'll get back out this season or not. Good luck to you and let us know how it turns out.

So how'd you do?? I've got a bunch, maybe 4,000-5,000 about 2 miles from my place, but they never seem to work down to me unless they're trading over very high. Did get some pics of them today by the road...

Ended up with 28. A great day as far as I am concerned. I haven't gotten the pics loaded on my computer yet, but will post some as soon as I do. We had about 900 decoys out & I cannot even begin to explain the excitement of having thousands of birds come down to land in your decoys. A lot of fun and something I would do again - just not too often as I had to pay a guide.

well the hunt did pay off as the deerhunter said it was a blast really. but when those birds were over us that was all you could hear was birds it was probably a 1000 plus over head an like 300 in the decoys at a blink of an eye . that happened twice an the rest of the day was singles sneaking in an doubles and triples but great fun . an good luck big fox

Our trip sucked donkey balls. all day hunt for 2 birds. i guess that is why it is called hunting and not killing. the wind was horrible all day. i think that had a lot to do with the birds not coming in. oh well, i wouold still do it again

we seen probably 10000 geese but they were just acting funny all day. the group would come in like they wanted to light and then flare off, i think it was the wind it seemed like everytime we had some coming in the wind would pick up and launch a decoy across the feild. so that killed us. about lunch time we had to nail the decoys down in the ground because the wind was so bad. it is still a sight to see a couple thousand geese flying into your spread. i just wish the wind and everything else would have came together. we had no singles or doubles come by. all the groups we seen were groups of a couple thousand..

I was on my way into work this morning and observed a huge flock coming into a set of decoys right along Rt 50, east of Salisbury. I was so excited for the two guys that I could see out there, I about wrecked my car. I would guess there were 2,000 birds in the sky. I hope they had good luck!
