I went this morning. Four of us shot our limit of bluebills and got a goose.Glad to see it finally got cold; which brought the new birds we were waiting for. It should be a good weekend if the Northwest wind doesn't blow out too much water. Each one of us harvested 2 scaup each. Notice one is missing-It's getting mounted ;D

Sure hope so. I've got a couple spots out in the Potomac & I can't decide which one to go to. I'd hate to waste my last trip out.

Anywhere from the Piscatway down to the bridge, I have seen or have had reports of rafts of Bluebills and cans. Good Luck!

Where do you guys hunt? Do you use your boat as a blind? or have a permanant blind? Ive only hunted with friends and family, but next year I want to go on my own. I recentley bought a 14' jon boat.

If you are a SOMD local, go visit Myrtle Grove and those guys will get you straight with public hunting for SOMD. I utilize alot of state owned property. As far as the boat blind, I use them when necessary but try to hunt in as natural of a surrounding as possible. It all depends on the location. Some stake blindsites require you to be in a boat. Good luck!

Holy crap Coot, hope the one you took to the taxidermist looks better than those! Is your retriever named Quisinart or did you drag them in the propwash on the way in to the ramp???

well at least on saturday we got to shoot some ducks.. the 17th i was part of the Mattawoman Swim team recovering the jon boat that got taken out to sea by the current, and yes the water was cold.. the 20th got stranded at friendship landing 10 hours when the tide rolled out on us and the boat hit bottom, never even fired at a duck all day that day... finally got out this past saturday and got soem birds but got soaked int he process... makes me kind of glad the season is over. god knows i probably would have hypothermia if i had to go back out there any time soon..
