I am guessing I am not the only one that is noticing that the weather patterns have messed with the movement of birds recently. Other than shooting a few here and there, it seems like with recent fog/ calm weather, they are content to stay where they are. Other than a few bufflehead moving around, it seems like there has been morning shooting and thats it. Hunting in a t-shirt with waders in Jan. just doesn't feel right. Any thoughts?

I agree. Cold weather and duck hunting go hand in hand. I see more bugs than birds lately. Hope for a cold snap.

I would have to say that this has been a POOR year for duck hunting. Last year wasn't that great either. We need a monster cold front to come in to salvage the rest of the season, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Shot 4 bluebill in the wind Tuesday out on Potomac near Nanjemoy Everything was sky high other than that. Almost too windy! Took a guy from work with me; he's hooked!
