I went out SAT. and set up in a cut cornfield in point lookout. Only had about 30 goose decoys and never saw one goose flying. Until we had just put the last decoy away in the truck. Had a flock of twenty fly directly over where we had set up. They were really high though. Try again when its a little colder.

ANDYFOX!!,
As it stands right now with the prediction of rain on Thursday & Friday, the plan is to shoot birds out of the sky & leave the creatures with bones on their heads until Saturday.

Suprised you didn't get any action over a cornfield so close to the water. The geese are everywhere around me. I Saw a couple hundred when I went out last Wednesday.

I'm hoping for the same thing. I'll be on the Potomac above Seneca. I've heard there have been very good numbers of greenheads up there, we'll see Thursday!

Seeing the pics of last Thursday's hunt makes me think that the birds will be flying. Last year when I went out on the day after Thanksgiving, I had the best action of the year for riverducks. From the reports though, it sounds like they haven't shown up around me yet.

I think you might be surprised on friday if you do the old river duck hunt andrew. There are some good reports coming form Cobb Island on sightings of cans and blackHeads. Are you cooking on Frank's boat? Who is going with you Frankie? ;D
