Hi everyone,
I'm from MI, but my parents now have a place in Anne Arundel so I now have a place to stay and would like to start hunting MD. I hope you guys don't mind non residents because I could use some help with a couple things. First, I was surprised how complex your hunting regulations are when it comes to what you can shoot and where. So I could use some input there.
The other thing I could use help with is where to hunt. My parents don't have any land so unless I can gain permission to hunt somewhere I will be hunting public land. I only like to shoot older bucks. The older the better. I would rather shoot a 10-12 year old buck than a 4-5 year old even if the younger deer has a much bigger rack. The bigger the body the better too.
I don't get around as good as I used to so it might be challenging to find some decent ground. Although I can get back off the beaten path a bit occasionally. I just need to pace myself and have a few days to recuperate afterwards. Any help would be much appreciated.
