I tried to call you back last night, when you called I was on the phone. I have a buddy that owns I think over 1000 acres up there. I will put in a call for you to see if he has been seeing any bears on it. I know he has in the past but he uses it for riding 4 wheelers and playing. He is not a hunter.. I'll let you know what I hear.

Yeah, don't put a 350 pound bear on a cart rated for only 300 pounds! Snap! And take Fox along for the extraction crew. If you want some public spots give me a shout. Hunt near as you can to corn fields on private land. Think about your strategy as if you were after raccoons, not much difference other than size. Beechnuts and white oak acorns. Thick clearcut regrowth. Waterways. First and last minutes of shooting light. Have a plan in case you shoot a big one for how to get it out and, unles it's COLD, how to cool the meat. And CONGRATS!! We went 0 for 6 down here this year...

I'm somewhat familiar with the area since I went to college at Frostburg, but would be more than open to any other suggestions you may have Osprey. Also, wouldn't most of the corn have already been harvested by the time the bear hunt comes up?

That's what I thought last year, but it was all still standing that I saw, they really leave it up late. Shoot me an e-mail Frank, the site isn't coming up lately on my home computer...
