Had a great start to late MZ season on the one cold hunting day of the winter (or so it seems). Killed TWO with the .54 flintlock. First was a small cull buck, a year and a half old with little 1" buttons. I'd seen him a lot chasing does in the rut, but never in a time and place convenient to kill him. At 3:30 he came in with a six and a big framed 3pt, not his lucky day. Under 3" antlers means he even fills an antlerless tag! Few does and fawns after that, then at 4:45 this 8pt came by. Waited a few minutes to be sure the really big one wasn't with him, then introduced him to a lead roundball. Both deer ran 50-60 yards and they piled up within sight of each other. Really fun night!

I think my duck shooting pushed them down to you. There are ducks to shoot at over there? ? Not much here on the western side of the bay...

He meant to say "Chicken Shooting". Tamies don't count as real ducks Bartholomew... And he came from the opposite direction anyway, so there!!
