Anybody getting out for late blackpowder season? Been out three times, seen deer twice, but not the shooter I'm looking for...

Have been out several times...seems as though I pick the wrong end of our food plot for either does or a nice buck They sure are tearing up the turnips and radishes. I`m hoping Thur evening may be good with the weather coming in.

Was out Saturday & this morning. Woods were quiet. Except for some nice sized squirrels that must have known that I was hunting deer.

Figures, we've got a weather front with snow and super cold air coming in, just what I wanted, and I've been stuck inside with a 102 degree fever the past two days.

I made it out with my daughter wednesday night and you could've heard a mouse fart... absolutely nothing. Made it out last week and didn't see anything.
osprey that's a toss up... i think i'd rather have the fever today...i'm working 4-10pm today instead of being out. :-(

Congrats Brett, that's a cool deer and story. But you seem a little too excited about closely checking it's genitalia!

Congrats Brett, that's a cool deer and story. But you seem a little too excited about closely checking it's genitalia! He does that EXTENSIVELY with ever "male" deer he kills... Can never be too sure unless you are THROUGH...

Congrats Brett. A nipple scrotum is a real trophy. You should definitely mount that. It would be a great conversation piece on the wall.

Had a buddy down tonight for the last afternoon. I saw a few but no shooter bucks, he popped a nice doe with his .54 smoothbore flintlock! Great way to end the BP season in the snowy woods. I did have a forkhorn in close that had shed one antler already, with the cold they're probably starting that early this year. Worried how many bucks will get shot by mistake for does next weekend...

Not sure if passing on goose hunting with my son and friends was a good idea ,I decided to go deer hunting. After a 1/2 hr had a doe on the far end of the plot. Shortly after 10 does, a spike and a small 8 were on my end, was going to see if anything big would show when a doe got nosy. Dropped a big doe, missed another doe and can get my bonus tag for next weekend.

HARDEE HAR HAR Osprey and Fox!! Thanks for the congrats guys! It was a great shock to walk up on that thing to discover it was stuck in early September! I called my uncle and he told me what to look for. Only thing I forgot to do was look for the internal reproductive organs. Def a hermaphrodite. Bartman.... are you suggesting I mount the reproductive organs on the wall!!?? ;-) Good luck to all during late Shotgun!
