Anybody doing anything on waterfowl?
Ducking has sucked here, divers non-existant, but plenty of geese. Took the old dog out to the field today and dropped two for her, she still gets excited. As she'll be turning 12 next month she's limited to easy hunts now, but I've got to enjoy every chance I can get with her afield while she's able.

Yea, I've been fowling and it's been downright fowl! Same thing here with the divers & that's the majority of what we have over here to hunt. Congrats on the two geese.

Got some ducks at the beginning of the month along with some geese and we got seven geese last weekend. It's been slim pickins though

Went out this morning and got one gadwall. Busted a few mallards out of the spot this morning & had wood ducks sounding off all around me, but nothing came in range.

I finally had ducks show up the last day or two, loads of bluebills flying this morning but the wind was wrong and they wouldn't work close enough. Oddly enough, was diver hunting and the one bird we did kill was a green wing teal, a very pretty, full plumage, late season drake at that. He's already at the taxidermist's, too.

VERY NICE We had an all day sit with a couple fellas yesterday. Took 3 buffies 2 Gadwall 1 golden eye and a hen red head. Not to bad for a late season mixed bag. I got the Red Head and a Gadwall hen that was in decent shape I am going to see about getting mounted and added to the fowl collection in the man cave..

Put in my last fowling effort this morning (ducks at least).......Didn't even see a bird. We've got a bit longer on the geese on the good side of the bay. ;D Very pretty teal osprey.

Okay, the Fox thing is actually a plus for THIS side over here. You only have the NT whitetail, we have the typical. Catfish here, too. Trout? Hell, we use bait bigger than them things. Mountains are just for wimps who can't walk marsh. Yeah, you got bears, but it seems we have to come up and kill them for you, Dorchester hunters have both the first AND the biggest so far... And you won't convince me you guys wouldn't trade all that for sika!!
