I think if the people that show up just bring something and we can pot luck it. Should be a good time if a bunch of us show up. Bring the kids good fishing pier down there too...

No problem deer hunter. Looking forward to getting everyone together off season for some good times.
Agree with fox on the potluck. I know i'll be bringing some yard bird, BYOB, and cornhole game. They have grills there. Pavillion 1 is in between the playground and fishing pier so the kids got plenty to do.
As for time I was thinking around noon or 1ish, but it doesn't matter to me... we have it all day, so it's whatever the consensus is.

Not sure if I will make it but you can count on Todd's Taxidermy with a little sponsorship if not.

The crab's are running already..... I will be on shift that weekend and will not be able to attend butt the DEERHUNTER can use my walk-in to store them if he so happens to venture out...... I live 15 mins south of the park and it wouldn't be a hassle to stash some crabs till the picnic. My box can hold "plenty" for the hungry fellows (FOX). You can keep them alive for about 5 days in the box.

ok gotta figure out logistics
I'm gonna donate a $250 gift certificate for a mount for the picnic.
We are gonna set up some type of raffle for it. All the money raised by the raffle will goto the rental of the pavillion and any extra will goto the food & beverages.
I'm not gonna be much help as I'm on Mids until June 4th so if someone would like to help coordinate the raffle lets get this thing going.

Funny thing is FOX doesent even eat the things. Probably a good thing, otherwise there wouldn't be any left for the rest of us.

I like catching them via Trot Line and crab pots and I like cooking them and picking them but never been much on eating them.. I am not originally from this region though I think that has alot to do with it.. I eat a few legs but that is it..

I can get a roll of tickets and we could do a 50/50 raffle at the picnic. 1$ a ticket or a length of your arm for 10$. 1st ticket drawn get their choice of the cash (50% of the money) or the gift cert from Todd's Taxidermy. Second ticket drawn gets whatever is left (the money or the cert.) the Other 50% of the cash will go to the picnic expenses.
Let me know if that is a good idea and if people are on board. I also think we should try and get some sort of head count from people to see who is planning on being there and who is coming with them. I think the more members the better. Also you should be able to bring guests and for the crabbers out there that maybe want to try and bring some in we could line up cookers and stuff. Let's start planning this right..

I like the raffle idea!
First thing though, let's figure out an actual start time so DeerHunter can post that on the banner (with the date and place). We have it all day.
Second, definitely get some type of head count. If I need to change the reservation to a bigger pavillion I can.
Lastly, if a lot of people can't make it the 4th, then we can change it to the following Saturday the 11th? I just need to know.

The reason I mentioned the changes is because there is $6 service charge to make a change...but we still got time if we need to. the earlier the better though.
this is gonna be awesome!!
