Ok so I was a little ify on what to do with the youth day turkey. I saw my wife had printed off a recipe for chicken cordon blue so I figured why not. I breasted out the turkey Dylan shot on youth day. and here goes the experiment.
You need: a couple of eggs mixed up for a wash. Seasoned bread crumbs. Swiss cheese slices Ham slices seasoning of your choice.
I took the turkey breasts and butterflied them. Each turkey breast, after butterflying them, was spiced on the inside with salt pepper and garlic powder. Cover half the breast in ham slices and the swiss cheese. Roll the turkey breast up as tight as you can and hold in place with tooth picks (count how many toothpicks you put in the roll). Get a large enough dish that the rolled up turkey will fit and blend the eggs up. Roll the roll in the egg wash and then in the seasoned bread crumbs. Place the roll on a cookie sheet lightly coated with PAM. put in the oven at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until the turkey gets a nice brown color.
Let rest for a few minutes and and remove tooth picks. Slice into portion sizes and enjoy.
I must admit I was a little worried but I can tell you this was REALLY GOOD....
Good luck..
