Anybody doing any pond fishing for bass or crappies yet? I haven't pulled out a rod and reel, but been feeding minnows to the fish in my pond for nearly a month now and they're active. Swirling like sharks when I toss minnows to them. ;D

went to a local farm pond last week when it was nice and didn't catch one bass when we usually get a ton in the summer. used a worm so switched up to the ole shad dart and bobber for crappie and managed 4. 1 decent bluegill to it should be betyter in the coming weeks. But who knows with this snow there calling for? ??

The bite was a little slow but every perch was 8'' or 9" and bettter. I got a total of 12 perch and he got 4. Also caught for the first time there a 12'' largemouth!?? Has anybody else thats fished there caught bass?? thought the water was to brackish for them to be there bot apparenly not.

My five year old neice has been bouncing off the walls for two weeks knowing I was supposed to take her fishing today, and she was wound up when I picked her up from school. We hit the pond with her Barbie rod, she kept 4 nice bass and caught probably 20 more, plus two crappies! After catching them she helped me scale and fillet the four, then helped me fry up the fish and some hushpuppies and we ate 'em for dinner. One very happy little girl when she went home!!

always enjoyable when you get a lil one out fishing. I've been taking my 6 y/o cousin trout fishing alot lately. He gets more excited than me on the opening day of deer season. The extra limit of fish is always nice to
