I got this in an email, so I'm not really sure the validity of it, who it was taken by, or where it was taken (Pennsylvania, I think), but it is something to look at......

Don't think it would have come from PA. The hills and harsh winters keep those deer pretty slim. There are big deer in PA however it is not common let alone a complete freak of nature like this deer....... if it's real.

PA did sound funny to me too, but that's what the email said?

Well at least they took the saddle of of him before the pictures were taken!! If he's real he would have had to come from the north or the agriculture belt, I would think. I've hunted in Maine (Moosehead lake region)and the guide up there has killed deer that weighed in over 300 Lbs.(live, not dressed out ). They don't have allot of deer up there but the ones that they do have must be big and healthy to survive the winters, or at least that's what he told me.

Last I heard it was taken on an indian reservation in Nebraska. There are more pictures going around with indian guides posing with that guy.

I was dropping off my turkey to be mounted at Klines Taxidermy shop in Smithsburg, MD. The owner, Meran Kline, shot this deer in Alberta Canada. He told me they tried to weigh this deer on a 400 lb. scale and it tip it. So they fied dressed it and its dressed weight was 350 lbs. The photo I took does not do this deer justice, it looked like a horse with antlers. He took all kinds of photos of this deer after it was shot, it was huge. He had to do a build out on the form because no one sells a form this large. I guess these monsters do exist after all. If you want to use the outfitter he used just call him and he'll give you the info. He told me but I don't remember. I didn't think to ask what it might cost to hunt such a dream place. ;D
