Cool looking gun Dave. Good luck swinging that 44" at a moving Tom. Should be a good challenge.

I was out shooting it today and it's a beast! Turkeys should be dead out to 30 yards, averaging 8-12 pellets in the kill zone at that range with a load of 1 1/4 oz #6 lead, 90 grains FF goex powder. That's just shot through the cylinder bore, too, haven't even played around with shot cups or wads yet.
But the .648 roundballs in it are awe inspiring. Shot a ball with .010 patching, 90 grains FF Goex again, just to try a few, and at 33 yards shot a group of 3" on the bullseye. And this gun has NO sights on it! And put a hell of a hole in the target - even with my bad eyes I could see the daylight through the holes without walking up to check the target. I can't wait to see what those balls will do to a deer this fall, should easily be good out to 50 yards with that load.

Looks NICE Dave! I've lobbed a few .72 round balls and the DO make a nice hole!

Took it for the first turkey hunt yesterday up in DE, but it wasn't a good start. Didn't see or hear a bird.
