Be a lot longer than that down my way, still sink in deep if you come off the driveway and forecast has 4-5 days of rain this week! Be a long time before I can turn any ground here...

I could probably plant tomorrow if I was ready. But, you're right, rain is on the horizon which will make things difficult. I'm sure the farmers are off their normal routine

I did get out yesterday and run the bush hog through some warm season grasses I'd left up for the winter. Was thinking and planning new spots for later this year while I was out. Also gonna oveseed some clover before the rain sets in this week, let the seed get beat down into the mud so I'll have a good spring growth for the deer and turkeys.

So is everybody working on stuff now? Been out tilling some the past few days, getting ready for corn and PowerPlant plots. Could actually use a little rain, really dried out fast!

My tractor decided that it wanted to take a little rest last summer. Do have some arrest I've been thinking about putting on my clover plot. Just haven't found the time yet.

I don't know how my clover plot still looks as good as it does, there's been 6-10 deer in it early every evening, still plenty in the mornings, too. They are really hammering it, but still quite a bit growing good.

I can't believe it went from as wet as it was to as dry as it has been now! This rain is VERY welcome for me. Got 3 acres of corn planted ahead of the rain, just what the doctor ordered on it. Put in an acre of Power Plant mix 3 weeks ago and it really needed the rain, too, was sprouting but not doing much. Deer have already been feeding in it though, saw two bucks with 8" of antler already.
That's my major stuff now, also got my clover fertilized a few weeks ago. When these showers quit I think I may start working up where I want to plant millet for the ducks/geese. Be another month before I plant it, but best hit it while the ground is soft...
How's everyone else coming along?

The rain is working out good for my garden. Really need to get in & mow my clover plots after they dry out.

How short do you mow? My clover is a ft tall or so at the moment.
