I just order a Mathews DXT on Saturday can't wait to get it in my hands. You guys have any killer arrow setups you use with the DXT? I have always been an aluminum arrow guy but am thinking of switching to the Easton Axis. Any thoughts or concerns? Also have been shooting the Muzzy 4 blade 90 grain broad heads for years and am thinking about switching to a Rage or something similar. Any input would be appreciated. Can't wait for September now.

I shoot gold tip arrows & have for years. I am happy with those.
Also use 90 grain 4 blade muzzy. Tried expanding broadheads for about a week & switched right back after one only went 2 inches into a deer.

Thanks for the info, I am a little leery of the mechanical broad heads as well. I know the Muzzy's work so I am thinking about sticking with them. Besides it's a little expensive to change everything at once. I need new arrows any way so I plan to switch those for sure.

I use the gold tips with 90 4 blade Muzzy's as well, have for years and they work so good I wouldn't think of switching.

Just order the G5 Expert II drop away rest for my new DXT when ever it comes in. Anyone else have one? Wanted to ask before I ordered it but Cabelas had a special on shipping that expired tonight so I took advantage of it. It seems to have great reviews. 2 people complained about arrows falling off but 3 others said they never had a problem and couldn't imagine having a problem unless a severe case of buck fever set in.

Finally got my bow all setup and started shooting Saturday. I love the DXT it's a great bow, quiet, fast, and really feels good in your hands when shooting. I feel like I have total control over the bow the whole time I am shooting. The G5 Expert II drop away rest is awesome as well. The only problem is when I start shooting I don't want to stop.

My buddy has the DXT and he loves it as well!! He uses Carbon Express maxima hunters and finds that they are JUST good enough in terms of spine strength. He prefers the carbon express kevlar arrows. They are new. Tough arrow! We both use two and three blade rage. Flies EXACTLY like my field point and I love them. Have not lost a single deer to them!

I have been shooting it every day just about since I got it. I really like the Easton Axis arrows, I shot it Monday with my Muzzy broad heads and they were shooting the same as my field points all the way out to 40 yards. I haven't shot past 40 yards yet. Heck with my old bow I stopped at 30 so I have already gained 10 yards and I am sure I could go out to 50 no problem. I am thinking about get 3 of the rage and trying one out on a doe this year. I have 2 Muzzy broad heads that really should be replaced anyway. Thanks for all the info from everyone I appreciate it. My final setup is as follows.
DXT 28" draw 60lbs Easton N-Fused Carbon ST Axis Realtree APG HD Arrows with Blazer Vanes cut at 28" G5 Expert II drop away rest (awesome rest, highly recommend it) Carolina Archery 3 pin sight (took it off my old bow) G5 Meta 1/4" (Large Hunter) peep Limbsaver S-Coil Stabilizer Free Flight Loop Hook Release
