I'm the same way, if its raining I have a tough time getting out of bed, unless I'm duck hunting then it depends on how hard its raining.

Rode down and waited for it to stop this morning, radar looked like it would at 4:30 when I got up, but sat in the truck until almost 7 and came back to town. Rain would have probably been enough, but add in warm and skeeters, plus getting all my gear soaked for the rest of the weekend and I opted for breakfast.

Can't say I blamed you. I had to choose between coming in late & leaving early. After looking at the weather, I chose to come on in & try my luck this afternoon. It's pretty hazy here right now, but I think it is supposed to clear up any time.

just like mikeymoose, I don't mind the rain if I am already out but don't like to go into the woods when it is already raining. I just makes it that much harder to stay in as late as possible.

On Nov 22nd 2004 I had a corn pile twenty yards of the deck to shoot some squrriels. That day it was pouring down rain. I remember it so well because I had rushed home from work to take my wife to the hospital to have our first child. While getting ready to go, my dogs were going nuts. Looked out the window to see a monster buck in my corn in the pouring rain. Rain to get my bow, went on the deck ready to shoot and he was gone. I was drenched and still in my socks. Wife then reminded me about the baby. Its not appealing but during the rut, bucks move whenever they get the notion. But I always fear losing a blood trail while hunting in the rain.
