I've found some fresh scrapes, but it's so dry they don't look like much. Haven't seen much for rubs yet. Saw two nice bucks cruising field edges last evening while driving home after shooting a doe.

I found some REAL fresh scrapes the other day.(the way leaves been falling, they were REAL fresh) Then, while walking over to check out a recent rub on a cedar, I found a shed RIGHT at the base of the cedar! I'm HOPING that the shed is from the buck who hit the tree recently.
This was the same day I saw a pair of eagles put the beat down on a great blue heron, then EAT IT! And I've got pics of the aftermath. Plus I saw a fresh, big lumpy deer turd, with a PERFECT possum track on it. Pics of that too!

went for a walk with the smoke pole last night a saw a real nice buck in a lil cut down behind my house. lots of fresh scrapes and found about a 6-8 inch around cedar that was trashed along with some smaller trees that were pushed over and shredded.. looks like things are heating up..

Fox, I see you wasted little time changing your Avatar and quote!!!
Had a forky WT prance across the yard this morning at 8:30, 50yards from the door! That's always a good sign it's starting.

I went out this evening to scout and reset up my stand. I jumped a deer bedded near the creek, not good. Anyhow i went further towards a hill and found at least 8 powerful scrapes and some new big rubs all in a 50 yard area. I studied the trails going in and out of the area and found lots of acorns as well. I set my stand about 75 yards down fromthe scrapes off of a rubline. i would like to be a little further back but couldn,t find a suitable tree for my stand .I hunted out of it this evening but didn,t see anything. But if the wind is what i think to be right i,ll be in that stand in the morning and hopefully something good will happen.

Something is going on guys! My buddy Frank called me and was all excited about what he was seeing in the woods. He said that he saw 6 different bucks. One was huge! Huge rack, huge body, huge neck! Was just outside of bow range but he could see it well. He said they were going nuts! I am going to go out tomorrow morning in the wind and brave it out in a tree! Hope I at least see some action!
