Anyone catching Rockfish right now? Might go out this Sunday and try our luck with some rapala x-raps and some poppers. Any info??

I haven't been out in a few weeks.Crabbing now, will get back to fishing as water cools a little more.

I went Thursday evening; caught two keepers 22-26 inches in an hour. Light Tackle on the Potomac.

Fellows..
I just cant figure out how to catch rockfish..I took the boat out of solomons island last weekend...didnt catch any strippers...nothin..Caught a few croakers and spots..thats it.
btw..got my skeg fixed..looks brand new.
anytips on how to catch strippers?

just got back. went out of solomons island and caught one twenty inch blue on an umbrella rig. no rocks.

The really big rockfish are in now. We had several over 50"inches come in this past week. They are averaging in the forties with some over but only a few under. It is about two weeks early this year for some reason.
