April 19th will be here before you know it. The big rockfish are thick already and loads of people are cashing in on some catch and release fun waiting for the season to open. Believe it or not the croaker and flounder are already here. We had croaker for dinner this week so I can testify! We got our second boat ramp poured so we are good to go for the season opening! Hope to see more of you make it down this way to Buzz's Marina this year! We'll leave the light on.......

If this doesn't get you in the mood I am not sure what will. A friend of mine was out Saturday scouting around for a couple of hours. I cant wait till the 19th so we can keep them and make buffalo rockfish bites just as the turkey is coming out of the fryer!!!

I have property on St. George's Island that I can fish right off the shore. Think I can get some rock fish from there? What bait? Never tried for rock off the shore.....

Like fox said, herring is the ticket. Bloodworms work about as well too. Sometimes even a little better. Depends on how the fish feel that day I guess.
