I plan on starting a food plot in on of my hunting areas. What seems to attract the most deer, clover, oats, etc?

I would say clover or bio-logic.

Hard to beat soybeans. One of my brothers planted one of the Biologic blends:clover, rape, chards, all kinds of stuff,at his place over near Denton.
Said the deer wore a trail right through it. To get to the beans!
They EVENTUALLY took to it. He got the "sweepings" from a feed store over in DE. I mean EVERYTHING was in it. Sprouted up and the deer went wild.

planted some imperial whitetail clover, its expensive but that is the best food plots I've got growing know. the bio-logic is starting to get bigger. the soybeans is the ticket, the deer have cleaned fields of them here on the farm like you cut them with a lawn mower.

Soybeans will get them in but they don`t last like clover,Imperial Whitetail is hard to beat expensive but you will save money because it lasts longer and the deer will use it until it`s 1/2 " tall usually Jan at our place, they like it better than corn but not as much as acorns

have a plot of the clover that I planted last year and been reading that you should cut it back after it flowers. has anybody done this before and how was the outcome?? kinda of dry now to be mowing, the food plots need water bad. but the weeds are still growing.
