I was sitting down along the field last night, watching the deer, and boy are they tearing up clover!!! Got one small strip of Imperial Whitetail I frost seeded two winters ago that still looks good and there were 8 deer in single file line steady munching down the strip. Guess that Whitetail Institute advertising is right. Plenty of red clover all over the field edges in CRP strips, but they went straight to the good stuff.

I'm just getting ready to plant some Imperial Whitetail clover. I have 2, 1/4 ac. plots that going to get started. Some old timers have told me about doing that frost seeding for clover. Said it works great.

These 2 plots are in a low area next to a swamp, I have 3, 1/4 ac. plots and one was planted year ago on a higher spot and the clover is doing great. the other 2 have been to wet to get over to work up. But now there just wright. going to work it up thursday and plant friday hopefully it will dry off enough on top so the packer wheels won't get full of mud, then the showers on saturday will get things started.
