? Ummm, Cambridge, my place, any time today, but don't leave me more than 6 to clean and fix for supper. If you're talking about catching them, anytime now, lower Bay, by mid-May they are normally in full swing and in the rivers well by June. But they're a saltwater fish, not freshwater.

what do you use for bottom fishing? double bottom rigs? and what bait? squid or something?
Also, I caught a 43" striper the other day in the Potomac and it had a huge hole/sore on the back of it. I couldnt tell if it was a wound (like a boat hit it) or a sore. Hear anything about it? Ive caught 9 stripers this year and this was the only 1 that was "deformed". My buddy caught a 35" the same night and all its fin's were split like fingers and it was missing half of his face!! what going on here?

Bottom rigs for croakers, single or doulbe, 1/0 hooks, bait with peeler or squid or shrimp or bloodworms, the'yll eat most anything. Getting some good reports out of the Honga area so far, so won't be long.
Latest I've heard on the fish sores the consensus seems to be stress. Too many stripers, not enough feed for the most part. We had some pretty, some with spots the other day...

Went out on the wicomico friday night and caught some nice ones, 20 between 16 and 19 inches. Those little perch were having fun with the free shrimp.
