went up to a community pond this past thursday and had a blast... when we first got there I went to the castnet to get some shad... well the shad idea was kinda busted when all i managed to pull in were crappie and little gills (i know they work but i wanted some shad)... so sat around a little bit then decieded to throw it one more time...caught 3 so cut ones head off and threw it out and just as i turned around to bait the other rod... my clicker was singing a happy song, set the hook and relled in a nice channel-4.2lbs got a picture... still had the head on the hook and threw it back out, but had enough time to bait the other rod and got it in the water just as my other one went off again, so i set the hook and reeled in a nice little flattie-3.7lbs and got the camera to find when i turned it on...red flashing light-batteries were too low to take a pic  so just released him... the evening kept getting better with me and a buddy landing 6 fish: channels-4.2, 6.0, 2.1, 2.7, 3.4 flatties-3.7 so all in all not too bad... 4.2lb channel

we release all the cats we catch from this pond because it is a good place to fish when you cant find anywhere else to fish... so we dont want to ruin a good thing
