small hooks and a piece a raw shrimp... or you could use some eel traps, kind of like a crab pot but for eels.. that is the only way i have done it...

YUCK - I caught one at Marshall Hall on Sunday. A favorite food of rockfish, but you can't use them as bait this time of year. I personally hate catching the things because they tangle your line all up.

If you smack them dead center of there body, they will stop moving instantly. Where do you put eel traps at? in the creek or something?

If you've got a rec crabbing license, you are allowed a few pots (6?) and up to 25 eels per day.(bait) My Grandpa used to skin and bake them, deep fry them, etc
