so im shootiing mattews sq2 with xx78 shaft size is 2314 with thunderhead 100 . but what i want to know is what are the best carbons. i think its time to mike the switch . i do want to keep the same broadheads i know alot of people shoot gold tips and that there straitness is +-.002 thousths but a guy today said there overall lenght and straightness is not consistant. what do you all think besides im one of the last of the mohegans that shoot alumminum

I like gold tips & have never had a problem with them. If you want to get bare shafts, I have a saw & fletcher, but you better hurry.

I've only shot Gold Tip XT Hunter. I have no reason, nor desire to change ;D

gold tips are the stuff, duckbuster come by again this week so we can shot some more. or we can hit the road to Bryans road for a shoot with the fellers down yonder....

I shoot carbon express from walmart But they kill as good as anything else I have shot. Cheap as well and you can buy a single or dozen or anywhere in between.

To clarify my last statement, GT's are the BOMB. If you want consistent flight and proven performance (picture to follow), go with the Gold Tips!!!!

I must be the only one left who shoots aluminum arrows XX75's. Never had a problem with them, Remember, Your equipment only shoots as good as you do!!

I used to love aluminum arrows, I shoot Gold tips now and love them just as much.

busco im still shooting xx78s i have since i started hunting with a bow like 13 years now . but at the shoot i went to the other day i noticed a bad drop between 35 and out . but i think its the sight being pedulum, but im not a ground hunting that much and out of a stand im deadly out to 48-50yds . and im looking at switching to carbons to get rid of the hump the arrow makes at that yardage
